Everyone loves both Apple and Samsung for their relentless efforts, consistency, and innovations, which explains their dominance, longevity and relevance in the market today. Both the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus and the Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max are exceptional smartphones from the tech giants, and these devices are kings in their own respective lanes. The Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max has its own uniqueness, one of which is its great camera which makes it a good phone for anyone who loves to have fun with their smartphones.
On the other hand, the Apple’s arch-rival, Samsung, hasn’t stopped wowing the people with the Galaxy S10 Plus which launched earlier this year. The Galaxy S10 Plus is packed with a host of features and advantages over the iPhone 11 Pro Max, and we’ll be looking at those today.
Below are the 10 reasons why the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus is better than the Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max.
1. Perfect Design
The Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus established an upgraded version of the Infinity-O design due to the dual selfie cameras that is featured at the top right corner. Instead of taking the usual O shape featured on the Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10e, this device’s cutout takes the form of a pill which is nonetheless called the Infinity-O display. Both brands put efforts into minimizing the bezels, and found different ways to execute that, and Samsung was more successful than its counterpart in this aspect because the bezel on Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus is way smaller than the one on the iPhone 11 Pro Max.
2. Better Screen
Truth be told, both phones possess exceptional screens, with the Samsung Galaxy S10 plus sporting a 6.4-inch screen and the Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max a tiny inch larger at 6.5-inch. The Galaxy S10 plus features a Quad HD+ Dynamic AMOLED display and screen resolution at 3040 x 1440 pixels which covers every inch of the phone. While the iPhone 11 Pro Max also has a great screen, the 2684 x 1242 pixels screen resolution has done nothing to save it from being overtaken by the Galaxy S10 Plus.
3. Super Cameras
Apple has finally jumped on the triple-camera bus with the iPhone 11 Pro Max, which adds an ultra-wide 12MP sensor alongside the 12MP wide-angle and another 12MP telephoto sensor. The Galaxy S10 Plus on the other hand features 12MP + 12MP + 16MP cameras which are supported by a depth-sensing fourth camera on the back. This type of setup makes the Galaxy S10 plus a versatile device that is capable of snapping super shots and the iPhone 11 Pro Max pretty much does the same. Although hard to notice, the Galaxy S10+ ultrawide camera mode features a higher mega pixel than the iPhone 11 Pro Max.
4. Battery Life
Apple promised up to 20 hours total hours of video playback which is 5 hours longer than the iPhone XS Max. Although Samsung didn’t exactly provide stats like that, the Galaxy S10 Plus features a more powerful 4,100 mAh non-removable battery in comparison to the iPhone 11 Pro Max’s 3,969 mAh batter capacity. This makes the Galaxy S10 Plus a pretty wise choice when considering heavy media usage or games.
5. Perfect for Work
If anyone is on the lookout for the perfect phone for work, one of the important things to consider is the RAM on the phone. With the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus, you have a choice of either 8GB or 12GB, both of which are far better than the 4GB featured on the Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max. Apple could have certainly done better with the RAM.
6. Storage
The fact that Apple doesn’t make phones that support external storage has made the iPhone 11 Pro Max the obvious loser here. The Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max comes with either 64GB, 256GB, or 512 GB of space depending on which model you choose to buy. The Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus on the other hand comes with either 128GB, 512GB or 1TB internal storage which can be further expanded by an extra 512GB via a Micro-SD card.
7. Selfie Experience
At least 5 out of 10 people would choose the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus over the iPhone 11 Pro Max when it comes to the best selfie experience. The Galaxy S10 Plus features a dual selfie cameras of 10MP and 8MP respectively, even though the iPhone 11 Pro Max is also an exceptional phone for selfie experience with a single 12MP front facing camera.
8. Price
One could guess which one would be the cheaper of the two smartphones. On Samsung’s official website, the price for the 1TB version of the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus stands at $1249, while on Apple’s website, the price for the iPhone 11 Pro Max 512GB is $1349.
We’ve all taken a good look at both phones and seen that they’re both exceptionally great. From all indications, both phones are worth their respective prices, given the efforts both brands put into making sure they’re both leading products in the market. Although the Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max launched five months after the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus, it is evident that Apple couldn’t catch up with Samsung.
