Dubai Festival City Mall has teamed up with music streaming service, Spotify, to launch its own music library from their record breaking live show, IMAGINE. The live show which plays every night on the Festival Bay, harnesses the power of lasers, lights, water and fire, to offer a unique sensational experience, and is free for all visitors.
Soundtracks from IMAGINE that play during the shows every night will be made available for download in Spotify’s local playlist.
IMAGINE show has earned two Guinness World Records for the largest water screen projection and the largest permanent projection mapping.
Steven Cleaver, Director of Malls Dubai, has this to say: “Customers were watching our shows and asking, ‘I can’t seem to find this song on Spotify’, and we realised there was an important opportunity to connect with our customers through the music of the Imagine show.”
Spotify launched in MENA last year with a full Arabic service, dozens of locally-curated playlists, and access to a full catalogue of millions of songs, for both free and premium users.
The service is available in 13 markets in the MENA region, with a global presence in 79 markets.
Claudius Boller, managing director MEA at Spotify states: “We are delighted to add the Imagine music catalogue to our library to enable music fans to relive the experience over and over again.”
According to the mall management, Dubai Festival City Mall is the first and only mall globally to offer such service.
