French fashion house and luxury retail company Louis Vuitton, has announced plans to move into the hospitality industry with the launch of its very first restaurant.
Named Le Café V, the café and restaurant is scheduled to open next month at the new Louis Vuitton Osaka flagship. Le Café V will be located on the top floor of LV’s new four-level Osaka maison, and will include a menu by celebrated Japanese chef Yosuke Suga. In addition to that, the café will house an adjoining bar and large terrace.
Louis Vuitton CEO, Michael Burke, confirmed the news and also went on to hint that LVMH could further open more eateries and even hotels. LV’s new boutique is set to open on February 1, while Le Café V will start serving to customers on February 15, 2020.
Louis Vuitton’s parent company, LVMH, has also unveiled plans to open Paris’ first Langosteria branch, a high-end seafood restaurant from Milan. Langosteria will be located on the seventh floor of La Samaritaine.
